260 (closest available reference)[3]

No PassMark benchmark exists for the Netgate 2100's exact chip (Marvell Armada 3720 / 88F3720). The closest reference on cpubenchmark.net is a generic 4-core Cortex-A53 @ 1.4GHz — which has double the cores and a higher clock than the 2100's actual 2-core @ 1.2GHz chip, so if anything this understates the real gap. Even so, it scores 260 CPU Mark against the J5005's 3,130.

Notes & Sources

  1. [1] CPU, RAM, storage, and port specifications for the Netgate 2100 MAX are from Netgate's official product page, which also confirms "4 GB DDR4 (not expandable)". Netgate also sells a cheaper 2100 BASE variant with only 10.6GB eMMC storage.
  2. [2] The 4 LAN ports can be reconfigured into separate interfaces — including for use as an additional WAN — via 802.1q VLAN mode, but they remain behind the same internal switch, sharing one 2.5Gbps uplink to the CPU rather than being independent NICs. See Netgate's own Switch Overview and Configuring an OPT interface as an additional WAN documentation.
  3. [3] CPU Mark for the NFW5005 (Intel Pentium Silver J5005) is from PassMark's cpubenchmark.net. No entry exists for the 2100's exact chip (Marvell Armada 3720 / 88F3720); the figure shown is the closest available generic reference (a 4-core Cortex-A53 @ 1.4GHz — more cores and a higher clock than the 2100's actual 2-core @ 1.2GHz chip).
